Raise Your TOEFL Test Scores!
All you need is 4 things to raise your test scores: Time
and Motivation, solid TOEFL review books, and realistic tests or
exams.
Time and Motivation
How much time do you need? Pretty easy. First get your review books,
materials and tests together and start working. Reassess after one week.
Because there is only a limited amount of review products
and tests (good ones at least), you'll know after one week how much more
time you'll need to complete your review. On average: 3 to 6 months.
TOEFL Review Books
The best are: Delta's Key to the TOEFL Test (be
careful: audio comes separately), Barron's How to Prepare for the TOEFL
Essay, the very useful Cambridge Preparation for the TOEFL Test and especially Lingua
TOEFL CBT Insider. Depending on your personality, some companies
offer interactive software which you may find helpful. You
can get any of these review materials super cheap by clicking on the

TOEFL Tests
By far, the best source for practice exams is TOEFL Test Preparation
Kit (Educational Testing Service, ETS). Some of the books described in
the review section contain simulated TOEFL tests. You can
get all of these materials in the online eBay auction at quite a savings. It
is very important to take all ETS practice exams, check your
test scores then review your mistakes before trying another practice exam.
